Iced Ridges (2023)
Iced Ridges tells the story of an old icebreaker that is stranded somewhere near the north pole, with one person inside, increasingly unable to move due to the cold. Their mind plays tricks on them, the hallucinations caused by the extreme cold take over and they are no longer able to discern between real and fake sensations. There is a lamp, swinging from one side to the other, as the boat is rocked by the waves. The character 'hears' the light emitted by this lamp and soon, it is multiplied, enveloping them. Overwhelmed, the person has to turn their focus to something else. They listen to the waves hitting the ship. It creaks as it drifts on the water, pushing blocks of ice to the side. But their attention is drawn back to the lamp. With the subject's focus wandering from one element to the next, a loose narrative emerges.
